Place of origin |
This is one of a series of latex puppets, called Boglins, that were a big sensation in children's toys in the late 1980s. During their original release there were three large creatures, six medium ones and a series of collectible very small solid plastic figures. A set of three other large creatures were added to the range later on, with an aquatic theme. Boglins were part of the late 1980s toy craze for monster creatures, influenced by films such as Gremlins and Ghostbusters. Their eyes glowed in the dark and the large ones had a mechanical apparatus inside which meant that their eyes could be moved left and right.
