Object history
This relief is a 19th century plaster cast after a marble original by Donatello made in 1426-28 and still in situ on the tomb of Cardinal Rinaldo Brancacci in the church of Sant'Angelo a Nilo in Naples. The plaster cast comes from the Naples Artists Benevolent Society and was bought from Mr E. Neville Rolfe Esq., 267 Riviera de Chiaga, Naples, im 1885 for 100 lire (£4).
