The evening began with a 'Historical French Drama' entitled Cartouche!, or the French Jack Sheppard, followed by a performance of acrobatics by the Beni-Zoug-Zoug Arabs, and 'the admired Comedy', The Porter's Knot. It concluded with the Arabs performing 'their Challenge Act', The Human Pyramids, comprising 46 tableaux.
