The title alludes to the sense of mystery, history and hidden histories concealed within the fragments of Copic and Peruvian textiles studied by the artist in the textile stores and study galleries (110 and 101). The title is taken from an essay by Louise Gluck 'Disruption, Hesitation, Silence,' Proofs & Theories: Essays on Poetry (New York: Ecco, 1994) 74-75.
