This map, made by artist Tom Lubbock, presents a morally stringent and eerily prescient comment on the cynical shifts and realignments of international relations. Political maps the nations states of some unspecified region of the world, naming them as Good or Evil, with some designations qualified by subtitled formerly Evil or formerly Good.

Tom Lubbock was an artist and illustrator as well as being chief art critic for The Independent newspaper for thirteen years. Between 1999 and 2004 his witty, meticulously-executed collages illustrated the Saturday edition of the newspaper.
