At the top of the poster, on the left-hand side, printed in pale yellow letters is the word 'Heysham', and below the boat, towards the bottom of the poster, on the right, 'Belfast'. Below this, on the left, printed in blue, 'Express night service Royal Mail Route', and at the bottom of the poster in white, 'for reservations apply to Marine Superintendent, British Railways, Heysham', with space below for details.
