Election

Computer Game
1984 (published)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This game was one of a series released by Mastertronic. Aimed at the budget market, they were available for less than £2.00 and distributed through local newsagents as well as the usual high street outlets. Election was released in 1984 for the burgeoning Sinclair ZX Spectrum home computer market. A strategy game, the concept was to raise enough money for your campaign to win a seat for the fictional town of Pendell. As with most games for the Sinclair Spectrum, it would be loaded by playing a cassette, taking several minutes to start.
