Place of origin |
Poster advertising 'Conducted Tours by London Transport'. The central image depicts the silhouettes of two men, merged together, their legs bent as if sitting down. The nearer figure is formed from a map, made up of areas of green, with small symbols representing roads, trees and villages. His arm is outstretched, and the hand, which is red, points forward. The second figure is completely white, except his eye, which is represented by a red London Transport symbol (a circle with a horizontal line through it). His lips are parted in a smile. The two figures are placed on a lilac background, with three small 'v' shapes, representing birds. Below the figures is the slogan, 'Conducted Tours by London Transport', and below this a list of places that can be visited and the company's address. The artist's name is in the upper right corner.
