Object history | The tile is a copy of a 19th century example made by Minton & Co. set within mosaic in the entrance of 29 Museum Street, Bloomsbury, London. Though heavily worn, the tile remained in situ in 2009. The copies, of which around five were made, were commissioned by John Scott from the tile-maker John Cox. |
