Hanging of tapestry woven (kesi) in silks and gold thread. Bound with white cotton, backed with dark blue cotton and attached to wooden rods at each end.
At the top is a panel depicting a sage holding a bow in a landscape against an orange-coloured background. Below is a narrow panel of diaper pattern. In the centre a panel with a Buddhist deity seated on a cloud and an acolyte standing on the ground below, holding a green branch and a vase containing another branch. This panel has a buff-coloured background and a dark-blue border of scrolling peony stems in gold. Below is a band of four lozenge shapes and formal flowers. The bottom panel depicts a scholar riding on horseback along cliffs. Beside him walks an attendant carrying books. This scene is depicted on an orange-coloured ground.
