Object history | Purchased. Registered File number 1989/939. The coat was made for Maureen, Marchioness of Dufferin and Ava (nee Guinness, born 1907, London; died 1998). She ordered the coat to wear at her son's wedding at Westminster Abbey. The marriage of Sheridan, 5th Marquess of Dufferin and Ava to Belinda Guinness took place in the Abbey on 21 October 1964. |
