Pieces shaped to represent two Burmese Kings and their armies.
Each side consists of :
a Min (King) wearing a helmet like crown and an ornate collar of state
a Sikke (Minister of war) wearing a baung (tall, swept back hat) and pleated pah-soe (wrap around skirt)
two Sin (elephants and riders)
two Myin (horsemen)
two Yitta (war-chariots - in this case stupa like castles)
eight Ne (foot soldiers)

Burmese set of chessmen of carved ivory, white and green, representing two Burmese armies. ca. 1st half 19th century.
Physical description
Pieces shaped to represent two Burmese Kings and their armies.
Each side consists of :
