Decorated with figures, in 3/4 relief, of seated Buddhas, of diminishing size, from base to tip, each framed in a lattice-work of scrolling foliage, with the exception of the figure at the tip which is completely enclosed. Narrow bands of rope and wave patterns encircle the base.

The tusk rests on a square wood base.

Attribution note: Carved tusks of this kind were traditionally commissioned by wealthy members of the Burmese Buddhist laity for presentation to their kyaung (monastery) as an act of merit-earning.
