Keep an eye on valuables. . . don't leave them around

Poster
ca.1975 (printed)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Screen printed public information poster 'Keep an eye on valuables . . . don't leave them around'. The poster is divided roughly in half, the left side is white. The right-hand side, which is blue, is reminiscent of the silhouette of a head and neck. About one quarter of the way down the poster on the blue area is a black circle. Next to this extending into the white area are two overlapping blue circles, and next to this in the white area is a pale blue semicircle. The image appears to represent a head with one of the eyes, but is highly stylised and abstracted. In the lower right corner (in the area that represents the neck), in a white sans-serif typeface are the words 'keep an eye / on valuables', and below this in black type, 'don't leave / them around. . .’ The poster is signed lower left in black ink.
