Brief description
Flageolet, musical instrument, wood brass semi-precious stones, Tibet, 19th century.
Physical description
Wooden body with sereu sound-holes, decorated with eight alternating rings of carnelian and tuquoise The trumpet-shaped end is made of hammered silver mounted with bands of perforated brass. The reed holder is composed of several detachable pieces of brass, one in the form of the tse bumpa or "empowering-vase".
