Jewellery casket originally owned by Anna Pavlova.
Onyx, ivory and brass jewel casket in the shape of a medieval lady in a high, four-cornered helmet and breast-plate. The body of the woman (to her chest) is of brass, chased with detail to represent her dress and puffed sleeves. Her face is of ivory and the figure is hinged at a little over waist-height to reveal a compartment padded with cream silk. She stands on a pink-toned onyx base edged with a rim of brass chased with decorative patterns.
