Modern Highland dress has evolved from the belted plaids worn by the Scottish Highlanders until the 18th century. This kilt is made from a tartan now associated with the Anderson clan. Such dashing attire is increasingly popular as formal wear for weddings, balls, and other special occasions.(1997)
