This book of poetry was written by the McCorkell children as an Easter present for their father in 1927.
Oona (b.1910), Kathleen (b.1911), Leslie (b.1916) and Pakenham (b.1923) were the four children of Dudley and Helen McCorkell. They lived in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The children wrote poems which were put into books and presented to their father as Christmas and Easter presents. The daughters lived into their nineties, but Pakenham died in 1944.
The poems in this book are credited to Oona, Kathleen and Leslie McCorkell. The poems included in the book are entitled 'Ancient Britains', 'Tennis', 'My Jersy', 'The Wreck', 'My Garden', 'Over the Sea in Sicily', 'The Wind', 'My Little Dog', 'Wonders of the Deep', 'Tea Parties', and 'Under the Beech Tree'.
