COVERLET Cotton, embroidered and Quilted (kantha) Bangladesh 1920-50 IS.4-2011 Given by Karun Thakar, in memory of Mark Shivas Three birds are almost hidden amongst the leaves and floral motifs of this finely worked kantha. The restricted colour palette and undulating leaf meanders give the whole piece a strikingly contemporary feel.(27/9/2013)
