Gianni Versace (1946-1997) was an Italian fashion designer who built his business into a conglomerate of internationally recognised fashion lables for men and women. Though his womenswear gained much press attention in the 1980s and 1990s, thanks to celebrity clients such as Princess Diana and model Elizabeth Hurley, Versace's menswear was equally notable. He created a glamorous and colourful menswear wardrobes which often featured bold prints, vibrant colours and gold-studded accessories.
