Object history | Registered File number 1987/997. Part of a Beadwork loom set with cottons, beads, needles and other accessories 'for the weaving of Indian Beadwork, Belts, Sashes, Chains, Fobs, etc,' (T.161 to P-1987). The bead loom and accessories belonged to Mrs Henry Betham Robinson (1864-1948) who in 1896 married a surgeon working at St. Thomas's Hospital. She settled at 1 Upper Wimpole Street where she lived until 1918. She was an antiquarian and collector, and was interested in embroidery and other crafts. |
