This child's lawnmower, the Webb Miniature, is a small-scale replica produced by H.C. Webb & Co. of Birmingham, famous manufacturers of lawnmowers. It is made of metal, painted and bolted together, and, although a toy, works in the same way as a full-sized mower. It was manufactured in the mid-1960s and given to the donor when she was about 4 years old. She has memories of using it to copy her father when he mowed the lawn.

Object history
This lawn mower was manufactured by H.C. Webb & Co. Ltd., of Birmingham, a well-known lawnmower manufacturer. It is a miniature version of their full-sized lawnmowers, one of which was owned by the donor's father. It was a gift to the donor from her next door neighbour in ca. 1969, when the donor was four years old. She remembers following her father around the garden with it when he was cutting the grass.
