Vase

c.1912-16 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

The copper body has an applied silver rim and the silver base plate has been stamped with the jungin mark. The vase is decorated with a gold yusen coloured enamel design of chrysanthemum which have slightly shaded enamel details on their petals. The leaves are of dark green enamel with some shading; the wires here are almost hidden, although whether by design or by accident is unclear. The body has been finished with a matt olive-brown enamel ground. The counter-enamel is of a similar colour to the body and the inner base has the rather poorly applied silver yusen mark of the Inaba Company of Kyoto.
