Object history
This dress comes from one of the designer's first collection which was based round the Creation myth from the Bible, with dresses beaded and embroidered with apples and serpents. Other dresses in the collection were beaded with skeleton limbs and ribs, suggesting the story of Eve being created from Adam's rib.
