Object history | The holes punched in this object would have been used to transfer the design onto fabric. The tracing paper would be put onto the fabric or paper that the design was intended for. Powder (usually) would then be put onto the design and minute amounts would fall through the holes. This would create an imprint of the pattern onto the material below. |
