Historical context
Britains Ltd issued a range of household equipment during the 1930s, which were bulk bought by stores to be sold individually. Step Ladders, number 31, were part of this series and came in a range of sizes. It is not known if this particular ladder is one of these as the material is not mentioned in the catalogues.
