The poster shows a series of photographs taken by a White Russian correspondent during the temporary liberation of the Crimea region in general and town of Tsaritsin in particular during June 1919. The area was subsequently re-occupied by the Bolsheviks, who won in the Russian Civil War 1918-1921. The Civil War started soon after the October Revolution. The poster is one of a series of photo-reportages intended to propagate the advancements of the White Russian Army during the war.
