This poster is one in a series describing the progress of the White Russian Army during the rule of Admiral Kolchak, who after a military coup proclaimed himself the Grand Ruler of Russia. Before the October Revolution, Kolchak served as an officer in the British Navy and therefore had the requisite connections to call for British help during the Russian Civil War (1918-1921). The photographs in the lower part of the poster document British aid. After the victory of the Reds (the Bolshevik forces), Kolchak was forced to flee to the West.
