Joe Casely-Hayford has drawn on traditional British country clothing and fabrics to create this ensemble. It comprises a brown cotton corduroy jacket, checked brushed cotton shirt, brown wool slipover hand-knitted in alternating reverse stocking stitch, and mid-brown moleskin trousers Corduroy has been used for everyday and sporting dress since the 18th century and has enjoyed high fashion status in recent years. The knitted pullover bears resemblance to furrowed earth. An example of Casely-Hayford's understated output, this outfit would fit into a rural environment as well as an urban one.
