It consists of a receptacle enclosed by a lid and fitted with lidded compartments each containing a glass bowl. Below is a semicircular drawer covered with pleated silk and decorated with a large tasseI. This drawer fits within a curved bar, which is secured to a turned shaft resting on an octagonal platform supported on four curved legs with brass lion paw feet castors.

Physical description
Rosewood teapoy decorated with marquetry of various woods arranged in geometric patterns. It consists of a receptacle enclosed by a lid and fitted with lidded compartments each containing a glass bowl. Below is a semicircular drawer covered with pleated silk and decorated with a large tasseI. Bequeathed by Frederick Louis Lucas. See Nominal File MA/1/L2213. Mr Lucas left to the Museum the choice of items from his houses and one fifth of his residual estate. At the time of his death this piece was in the Drawing Room at his house, Ascot Wood, Ascot, Berkshire.
