Object history | Registered File number 1986/63. During an interview with Miss E Gordon, she explained that when a member of the embroidery workshop was called into the showroom to attend a customer's fitting, they had to change from their work attire into a plain navy blue dress which could be enlivened with a collar such as this one. Any time embroideresses passed through the showroom they had to be dressed in this formal manner. |
