Davenport writing desk veneered with burr walnut. At the top is a moulded shelf surrounded by a spindle gallery of brass. In the front is a sloping lid with a panel of black leather tooled at the edges which when open is supported on a strut. Below is a well fitted with four small drawers veneered with birchwood. The front is supported on carved brackets resting on turned columns with moulded feet which are divided by a rectangular moulded panel. One side is fitted with four drawers with turned knob handles, the other is panelled to correspond with false drawers. Brass candlebranches with hinged arms are attached to the sides below the shelf.
