Brief description
One of a collection of 23 topographical drawings of castles, churches, and bridges, in Germany, England and Venice, along with other ecclesiastical drawings, by A.W.N. Pugin.

One of 113 leaves from various sketchbooks with topographical drawings, juvenilia, designs for ornament, sketches of architecture and metalwork. c. 1839-52. Predominantly using pencil, pen and ink, and watercolour.

Object history
Pugin and his new wife Jane, were in Ely on the 24 and 25 August 1848, during their wedding tour of British cathedrals, and this drawing was almost certainly made then.
