Performers: Mr. Cartlich, Mr. Gomersal, Mr. Bridges Jnr., Mr. G. Woolford, Miss Woolford. Performer and director: Mr. Ducrow. Astley's Royal Amphitheatre. 8.8.1833. Performance category: circus, equestrian entertainment, equestrian pantomime. A note on the playbill reads: 'Mazeppa,though it has now considerably exceded 100 representations, in unabated in Attraction, and continues to excite the deepest interest. This Theatre has been more decidedly successful than the WITCH on the WHITE HORSE: it is Nightly accompanied by the most vehement bursts of Laughter and other unequivocal testimonies of Delight.'
