Object history
Associated Production: Gandey's Circus and Wild West Combined Shows. No acts are specified on the poster but it does note that the circus includes 'traditional circus acts and animals... as used in Granada TV's hit series 'Hard Times'. It also proclaims that circus is 'still the world's greatest family entertainment'. 27.4.1978 - 29.4.1978. Performance category: circus, Wild West show, children's zoo. The adult prices were 60p, 70p, and 90p for tiered seats, GBP1.20 for ringside seats. The poster has no year printed, but the dates are given as 'Thursday to Saturday April 27 to 29'. Considering the date of decimilisation, the date is probably 1978.
