Silver Brandenburg brooch in three parts, set with rose-cut diamonds, with a Lisbon mark for old silver, 1886 and French import mark introduced in 1893. Brandenburgs were inspired by the elaborate fastenings of Prussian military uniforms. They first became popular in the late 1670s.
