Object history | The poster announces , 'His Majesty has ...extended the license to this theatre until January 15th. It will be the aim during this after season to render the theatre perfectly warm and comfortable - to produce a rapid succession of novelties - and with a view to meet the alteration of the times, particularly as regards theatrical property. The manager proposes experimentally during the above period to reduce the prices of admission.... Associated Production: Muleteer's Vow (melodrama by John Oxenford), The Quartette (comic opera, composer: Mr. Hawwes), Old Oak Tree (drama, composer: Mr. G.A. MacFarren). Actors: Mr. Rumball (Muleteer and Old Oak), Miss Novello (Muleteer and Quartette and Old Oak), John Rhodes (Muleteer and Quartette), Mrs. T. Matthews (Quartette).
