Object history
This poster was the copy owned by Malcolm Morley, the actor and theatre historian who played Dick Swiveller in this production and who later became an authority on productions of Dickens on the stage. Malcolm Morley's research notes on 19th century theatre are in the collection of the Theatre Museum. For another copy of this poster, see S.608-1995. Associated Production: The Old Curiosity Shop.
