In the background of the scene the woman is shown in full length profile, her gaze is directed towards the fan she holds in her right hand. Her left arm is upraised and her hand is being clasped by the man standing behind her. Another man stands in profile in the foreground. He is partially concealed by a large plant and is gazing towards the couple who seem unaware of his presence.
