POSTER FOR THE MAGIC FLUTE
1993
In 1993, the Royal Opera House restaged Scottish Opera’s 1992 production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute. This poster draws on the vivid colours of the production design. The figure shows two sides of human nature and is a composite of the vengeful Queen of the Night and her rival, the wise and benevolent Sarastro.
