Poster advertising the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Aldwych Theatre, London.
This promotional poster from 1978 advertises both the Daily Mail, evidently Shakespeare’s newspaper of choice, and the Royal Shakespeare Company. The Aldwych Theatre was the London base of the Royal Shakespeare Company from late 1960 until 1982. If Shakespeare had visited in 1978, he could have seen Helen Mirren as Queen Margaret in the Henry VI plays.
