Object history
This is the original version of this poster, featuring Pinky Lee. Later versions (see S.309, S.310-1994) have slips which obscure his photograph, when he was no longer in the production. Associated Production: United Notions. Choreographer: George Tapps. Composer: Ross Parker. Performers: Tommy Trinder, Patacho, Pinky Lee, Tapps, George and his dancers. Pinky Lee appeared in the first night performance and was mentioned in the revues. He must have left the cast early in it's run. Adelphi Theatre, London. 28.11.1956. Performance category: variety, revue. Pinky Lee's character, Yankee Doodle Dandy, was later cut from the production.
