This poster advertises one week of a regional tour of Jane Eyre, starring Myrtle Richardson as Jane and Donald Mather as Rochester, following a London run at the Queen's Theatre in 1936 and the Aldwych Theatre in 1937. It also notes the last four performances of TheAmazing Dr. Clitterhouse,and the commencement the following week of the spring season of Variety starting with Giovanni and the Star Variety Company.

Donald Mather was a notable romantic lead on the London stage by 1938, having starred with Evelyn Laye in the original London production of Madame Pompadourat Daly's Theatre in 1923 when he played Lieutenant Corneille, and in several musicals including Silver Wings at the Dominion Theatre and Eldoradoat Daly's in 1931; The Geisha, Daly's 1931, and San Toy, Daly's, 1932. Myrtle Richardson was a stage and film actress who graduated from RADA in 1930.
