This card was issued by Tate Britain in 2007 and sent by Tate director Sir Nicholas Serota to Sir John and Lady Ritblat who donated it to the national collection of greetings cards at the V&A. It reproduces Christmas List, a text piece by artist Fiona Banner who was shortlisted for the Turner prize in 2002 and was awarded a Tate Britain Duveen Hall commission in 2010. It is an example of arts institutions using the seasonal card as a way of keeping up their profile and promoting the artists with whom they are associated.
