Les Rosières was a three-act opéra comique, the music composed by Louis Joseph Ferdinand Hérold (1791-1833), the words written by Monsieur Theaulon de Lambert. It was first performed on 27th January 1817 at the Théâtre de l'Opéra-Comique de Paris.

This design appears to be part of a series of prints published by Martinet, Rue du Coq. This design is labelled No.446. It is part of the Harry Beard Collection.

Physical description
This full length coloured engraving shows a woman dressed in a high waisted white dress with a blue sash running from her right shoulder to beneath her left arm and fastened at the waist of her dress in a half bow. Her hands are clasped in front of her, both encased in elbow length gloves. Her hair is dressed with a row of white roses and a white hat, worn at an angle.
