A coloured engraving showing the costumes worn by Albert (1789-1865) in the role of Prince Ramir and Mlle. Emilia Bigotini in the role of Cendrillon in Cendrillon, a Pantomime Ballet, at the Théâtre de l'Academie Royale de Musique.
The 1823 ballet production of Cendrillon (Cinderella) was choreographed by Albert, François Decombe (who danced under the stage name Albert). It was first performed at the King’s Theatre, London, 26 March 1822.
This design appears to be part of a series of prints published by Martinet, Rue du Coq, of which this example is labelled as number 524. It is part of the Harry Beard Collection.

Physical description | This full length coloured engraving shows a man and a woman dancing together. Both are dressed in white outfits trimmed with complicated motifs in gold braid. Both also wear matching caps of black with areas of white, red and green trimmed with plumes of white feathers. The man is on the left, balancing on his left leg and raising his right into the air. His hands and arms are entwined with those of the woman who stands on pointed feet, her arms above her head. |
