| Physical description | This full length coloured engraving shows two men confronting one another. The man on the left has his back to the viewer and is dressed in a cutaway black coat and tight white knee breeches with pale pink gaiters and blue flocked stockings. That on the right faces forward and is dressed in a military uniform, consisting of a short white jacket with gold braid at the shoulders and centre front worn over loose white knee breeches and with a pair of black Hessian boots. His left hand is on his sword hilt, his right is upraised. |
