Physical description
This full length coloured engraving shows a man dressed in shin length black trousers and a front buttoning black jacket. The jacket has a stiff white ruff and is fastened by a deep brown/red belt from which hang a series of keys and tassels. He is shown turning slightly to the side, his hands upraised and has a burning candle in his right pocket. In the distance behind him a servant dressed in a white shirt, cap and apron is walking with a candlestick, holding a smoking candle. Both stand on a pale yellow floor.
