La Chaumiere Moscovite was a vaudeville in one act, written by Marie-Joseph Pain and Dumersan. It was first performed at the Théâtre du Vaudeville on 8th August 1808.
This design appears to be part of a series of prints published by Martinet, Rue du Coq, of which this example is labelled as number 236. It is part of the Harry Beard Collection.
