"Oui. Mademoiselle c'est moi qui suis le Turlututu, le nom m'en est resté....Le voila mon instrument, je le porte toujours avec moi" (Act 1, Scene 2).

Le Libelle, ou, Frédéric à Spandau was a melodrama in three acts, by J. J. M. Duperche (ca.1775-1829). This design was created by Adrien Joly (1776-1839) and appears to be part of a series of prints published by Martinet, Rue du Coq, of which this example is labelled as number 45. It is part of the Harry Beard Collection.

This full length coloured engraving shows a male actor dressed in white knee breeches, black knee high boots and a pale yellow cutaway coat, decorated with grey braid. He also wears a tall black hat trimmed with a central yellow plume and carries what appears to be a piccolo or tin whistle in his right hand.
